TRIKE DERBY

If there was ever any doubt that the competitive nature was passed on to Kade...yep, it was! Today was his MDO trike derby. Fortunately, the rain stopped yesterday and though it was a bit chilly, it was a great day for the race. Kara took a day off and PawPaw was here so we all got to attend. Kenneth was able to come by too. We really didn't think Kade would participate. You never know what he will do. He has a bit of a stubborn streak sometimes. (Don't know where that came from!) He has not quite learned to peddle his trike, so we figured that would be a drawback when one of his classmates showed up with a bike with training wheels and he could peddle! Kade didn't let us down. You can see from the pix that he tried to cheat a little but we put him back behind the line. Much to our surprise, he took off like a bolt of lightning and lapped the other kids. Yes, we know he's just (almost) two but it's there...he's competitive! (Oh...and there was no coaching from any of us! Hahaha!)
