TEXAS TRIP

"How far did you say we're going?!" "Okay, I'll just play with my toes!" "Maybe I'll just sleep!"
Kade, Kara, Rowdy (the dog) and I made the trip to Texas over our spring break. That long drive with a little one is quite an experience! Kade pooped 3 minutes from the house so we made our first stop. Then we stopped numerous times to burp or change wet diapers. He was really a good boy though. We didn't get a chance to see all our old friends while we were there. Kara's house sold so we had a bunch to do. We are planning another trip this summer.

EATING 101

We first tried feeding Kade cereal...not much luck. Most of it was on his pj's. We also tried switching his formula from the ultra-expensive stuff to a soy based formula. Mr. Kade decided he had expensive taste and refused the soy. Kara found cereal with banana in it when we were in Texas so we tried that using the soy formula. You see below he liked it! Now he is eating us out of house and home!

A little bit of sunshine! We would like for it to stay away today!

WINTER WONDERLAND!

Well, you know what they say about the weather in Texas...two serious tornados in less than 2 months, Saturday it was in the 70's, Sunday we had a flood, and today 7-8 inches of snow! Arkansas can hold her own in the weather department. We're having a blast! Kids at heart! My favorite tale is of Kara's adventure. She wore "Crocs" with holes in them to come see the snow at the barn. We took the golf cart up the hill to see the view and got stuck. We tried digging out to no avail. We had to walk back to the barn (maybe 1/4 mi.) where I gave her my nice, warm boots. (Mother-of-the-year, maybe?) We then walked another 3/4 mi. to the house! That's what happens when you grow up in Texas! Ha! Here are the pictures! (Kenneth is out now trying to outdo the snowman Kara and I made!)

A LONG way home with holes in your shoes!

No, it's not a Texas snowball!

THANK GOODNESS FOR DIGITAL CAMERAS!

Today he bounced himself to sleep!
This is the best piece of equipment ever!
Just too sweet! Everything is a game...even getting "onesies" over his head! Not so much fun though when the dirty diaper leaks on the "onesie" (which happens frequently)! And, yes, this is what I spend most of my time doing...taking pictures! Kade's life will certainly be well chronicled.
